Car accident

I recently met with a car accident. It was a four lane road.i had looked in the rear view mirror and finding lights at a distance i drove my car till the center (there was no median). Two vehicles were coming from the opposite side.if we look from my side a scooter was approaching in extreme right track and an auto on the left track quite a distance behind the scooter. So i waited for the scooter to pass as that was the track i was supposed to enter into and i did not want to cause any inconvenience to him.Just when i started the car again a bike coming from behind tried to overtake me through the right and hit the front right of my car and fell into the opposite lane.bike driver did not sustain any injuries but the pillion driver suffered a small bone breakage in the leg. They informed me that cost of operation was about 60k and as they were masons couldn't go for work too.My car had damages of 10k which was covered by my insurance.i recently received a copy of FIR and sections 279,337,338 were charged against me.Further it is mentioned in FIR that my car was parked on the road side and because i negligently entered the road i hit the bike.People advised me that it was just a small case carrying a fine of 2.5k.I too didn't mind it at the beginning. The main problem is that i am 23years old writing various exams in state of Kerala and i recently read a Kerala government order where they say that in cases where people are convicted of criminal offenses carrying a fine of 2k and above the government can put on hold such appointment.Even though ssc, upsc asks if we have cases of moral turpitude against us,i dont want this case to affect my career in any manner. What should i do?
