Grama natham land acquisition by govt

Hi, A community group in a village was administering a 5.5 acres of agricultural land for centuries (Documents available since 1902) and the profit money from the land was used for the welfare of the people of the community and also the village. Recently the land was seized by the govt for constructing govt offices. Govt said that it was grama natham land and it can not be used for agriculture other than human habitation. since it was not occupied by any individual for residential purpose, so the govt is acquiring the land. (when the govt first planned to seize the land, 14 members from the community obtained Natham patta by producing fake documents like they resided there by constructing hut over there. later it was proven fake and the patta has been cancelled, then the land seized by the govt.) My question is, is there any way to obtain "stay" from the high court to prevent the govt from constructing any office on the land ? Since the land was used for agriculture and managed by the community for more than 200 years, how could the govt declared it as grama natham land ? is there any possibility to get back the land from the govt ? out of 550 cents of land, now construction only going on in 71 cents land.
