Can Rent be deposited in the name of legal heir of coparcener showing the deceased person aslandlord

We have one ancestral house. Part of it was rented by my grandfather. After my grandfather died, the house was divided among his 3 sons and wife that is my grandmother. The tenant resides in my grandmother's portion. During the lifetime of my grandmother, as she was illiterate except able to sign her name, she asked my father to collect the rent and other necessary calculation like electricity bill etc on her behalf. My father did that job diligently and issued rent receipt which was signed by my grandmother. After my grandmother's death, the name of that property had been changed in the Municipality Documents mentioning my uncle as the first holder and we, that is her other 2 sons and 3 aunts, were included as coparcener without my father's knowledge. When this matter came into light, my father refused to receive any money from the tenant as my uncle never requested him to collect rent from the tenant or gave any power of attorney. At this juncture, that tenant started to deposit the rent in the name of my father at the Rent Controller's Office and they intimated through post about this situation. But my father refused to receive any intimation. Now after my father's death, as I prayed to rent controller to stop receiving the rent in the name of my father as he was dead, the tenant filed substitution petition that permission may be granted in her favour that the rent may be deposited in my name as I am the sole legal heir of my father. Now my question is when my uncle is the first holder of that property and he is alive and my other aunts are alive, why the rent will not be deposited in their name and also why rent controller show my father as the only landlord of that property when he was a coparcener of that property ? Please advise in this situation that what will be my steps.
