Maintenance and Loss of Earnings under Domestic Violence Act and Maintenance under 125 CrPC

I got married about three years ago to an NRI and moved out of India to join my husband. However, my marriage did not work out. I have been waiting in India for over two years and he has neither come nor arranged for my visa. Finally I have filed a Divorce, 125 CrPC and DV case. At that time I was not working and was looking for a job. I have now got a good job a few weeks back. I was suitably employed before getting married at a good position. However, I was not able to work for over three years as I had to relocate to a different country after marriage. And then when I moved back to India, even after multiple interviews, I was not able to find a good job. It was probably because hiring managers were interested more in my marital status and lost interest when they found out that my husband was overseas and I was not divorced. They probably anticipated that I would move back to join my husband anytime and hence would not be stable in the new job. I was also hoping that things will work out with my husband and I will move back to join him. However, things only got worse. This marriage has taken a toll on me emotionally, physically and financially. - What relief shall I be looking for under 125 CrPC and DV case since I am well educated and now suitably employed (post filing the cases) as per Indian standards, although I do not make as much money as my NRI husband? If I cannot claim maintenance, then is that not a free pass for NRI men to abuse educated working women? - Is lost earnings a legitimate relief to be sought in the DV case as I was not working for over three years because of my marriage? Can you guide me to any judgements in this regard?
