I had taken personal loan approx 1.5lakhs in year 2013 and paid until 2016. The term was to close by 2016 November. But I couldn't pay around 50000 of the left over amount and interest. The reason being certain financial constraint and by October 2016 I fell sick. Very sick that I became irregular to job and left it. In 2017 around June/July the bank contacted me to settle the amount and I informed the reason for non payment. I agreed with paying around 8000 a month and close the loan by Feb 2018. After making just two payments, I happen to get married on my own (with our family's consent). My financial burdens again increased and simultaneously I was again irregular to work due to the marriage settlement at both of our family. It was an inter regional marriage... Two different states. As soon as things got settled my father became sick. Very sick. During this time I'm expecting a child. So I've to take unpaid leave since February 2018. My father is still in treatment. I've certain pregnancy complications. Now since I'm in unpaid leaves and still have to bear my medical expenses as well I'm not in a condition to repay back the small amount left for my loan. Yes I received calls and I did explained them my situation. But I received some calls who were rude. Now they have sent a letter of advocate at my permanent address which my mother didn't receive. As my father is staying at a different place due to his job and I'm with him to take care of him. My mother has also fallen sick. My husband has been jobless for a while. All these stress is causing my cholesterol level go high and other pregnancy complications. So what the bank can do to me as a part of legal action, can anyone suggest? How should I remain prepared for the further things coming up to me? For all the above situations explained I do have documentary proofs as well. I'm very stressed out due to this and it is affecting my pregnancy the most.
