Is this legal
Hi sir,
I want know is this legal, some mobile network operators offering unlimited service which has hidden limit. so my question is what is the meaning of "unlimited" here if they have a limit. i'm adding a example ( Idea Cellular prepaid plan )
Unlimited Local/STD Calls (including National Idea Roaming) + 1GB 4G/3G/2G + 100 SMS/Day just for RS.109 for 14 days (source : PAYTM )
but idea cellular T&C saying this :
Commercial Usage Policy for Prepaid Unlimited Packs
1) Customers using more than 250 outgoing minutes (local+STD + Outgoing Roaming* as per Unlimited Pack benefits) in a day will be charged at 1p/sec (local +STD), after consumption of 250 minutes for the rest of the day till midnight 0.00 hrs.
2).Customers using more than 1000 minutes (local +STD+ Outgoing Roaming* as per Unlimited Pack benefits) in any period of consecutive 7 days, will be charged at 1p/sec for rest of 7 days period (e.g. if a customer consumes 1000 mins on 2nd day , s/he would be charged for rest of the five days).
3).Customers calling more than 100 unique numbers in any period of seven consecutive days will be charged at 1p/sec (local+STD+ Outgoing Roaming*) after 100 unique numbers, for the rest of validity of recharge.
4).If the customer is on national roaming, Outgoing voice calls will be charged at 80p/min Local and Rs. 1.15/min STD on crossing the limits as per above Commercial Usage Policy.
5)Free SMS Plan has 100 Free SMS/day as per TRAI regulation. SMS Benefit not to work on Black Out Days
ETC...
This is totally not unlimited it's clearly limited. also this is not like click-bait, we are paying real money here. i'm not complying, i want know this misleading plan's title is legal in India.
Thank you,
