Will this be Legal case

Dear Sir/Madam Greetings , Hope you are doing well. I am working with Pvt company based in India/Mumbai for last 14+ years, Since June 2014, I had handled various roles in my tenure with company I was having global business development responsibility however was on payroll of India office. (Role Global , HR - Local). My direct reporting boss is based in US and there is dotted line administrative reporting here in India. On Nov16th 2017, my Employer through India Management asked me to get down from my current global position and offered me few job options which were for domestic business to select. All these are verbal discussions. Since I did not find the offered domestic job options suitable for my experience , I was forced to proceed with my decision and hence decided to resign on 22nd Dec 2017 . As per company I am currently serving 3 months notice period which will end 22nd March 2018 In the past, I was never been informed/warned about performance or behavioral issues etc etc. Even my performance for years 2016 and 2017 which is evaluated by my global US boss is very good. I would wish to understand if this is legal case and if yes what could be next steps. , Do let me know if you need additional details.
