Online retail product not delivered and status indicating delivered

I placed and order with Amazon.in on 14th Sep 2017, which was a non cancellable non returnable order with estimated delivery date between 3rd - 9th Oct 2017. When I did not receive the order by 10th Oct 2017, I called Amazon Customer Service and they told me that since the seller has not delivered, so they are cancelling and I have to place another order for same product, which is available right now. I did the same on 10th Oct 2017 and it was estimated to be delivered on 14th Oct 2017. On 13th Oct, we were out for a function in my office, and I got a message indicating that the order is out for delivery, so I called the delivery agent telling him that I am not home and he should try next day. In the evening when I checked I saw order status as "Delivered 13-Oct-2017. Package was handed directly to customer. The delivery receipt was signed by Jitender Singh.". I checked with my apartment security, but did not find the order or any visit logs from courier. Thereafter I have contacted them 9 more times, but neither they are fixing the status nor they are updating me on what happened to my order. I have had to order on 31st Oct, which I got on 4th Nov. The order on 10th Oct is yet to be resolved, as they are neither updating me on their findings, nor they are ready to compensate for higher amount I paid to get the book. What legal options I can pursue against Amazon?
