Unacceptable termination

I have been recently terminated for submitting wrong bills for my travel for work. I had submitted bills which is the need of an office which was actually cancelled because I chose to stay with a friend instead where I felt safer and compensated it form of gifts and dinners.since all the companies need bills of stay to reimburse your expenses I presented bills which were not the actual expenses but up to the limits of my travel allowance. The company just declared me cheat and fraud without discussion and terminated me with a termination letter. The managing director had never liked me and I think this is more of a personal vendetta than anything else. I was eligible for those stats and Not that I cloned them unrightly. I know others who submitted year end wrong medical and Petrol reimbursements printed in the same office. But no one else is charged which makes me feel this is definitely personal for a mere 18000 rupees after I had left 60000 rs bonus this year. The intention was never to cheat for money but a mistake on the way of reimbursement. Do u think I have a case of personal vendetta here? And can I seek explanation from the company?
