She got married in June 2014. The groom was aware of the illness before marriage. Please note my father is no more and my mom is dependent on his brother. She stayed with her husband for 2-3 months and was sent back to my brother's place. We reconciled and sent her again after a year or so but she was again sent back after 3-4 months asking us to keep her for 6 months after which her husband will take her back since he wanted to establish himself in business. He did not pay for her expenses all the while when she was at my brother's place. Her husband wanted a divorce and they agreed at the settlement of 4 lakhs. We belong to a middle class family and we cannot afford so much expenses. My brother is into depression since he is not getting married due to her. Recently we saw the judgement of Supreme Court for mentally ill and want the following: 1. We want to put a stay on the divorce proceedings and file a case on her husband to take responsibility of his wife. 2. My brother is not liable for her expenses since he is younger and not her guardian. My mom is dependent on him. 3. If her husband wants a divorce he should ensure my sister is rehabilitated and pay for her monthly expenses
