Option of termination or resignation

Respected panel I have a friend who is a very skilled dentist having 18 years experience. Last year in July 2016 she got a job as a dental surgeon in a multi speciality clinic and was on probation for 6 months. In January 2017 she was confirmed as a permanent surgeon there. The centre has a dedicated business development team responsible in getting patients for the clinic. At no point in time has she ever refused treatment to any patient and is always looking to get more patients but that isn't happening as the business development team isn't very hardworking and pushes the low revenue nonsense on the dentist. The centre told her on a couple of occasions that her clinic isn't generating enough revenue, for which she is not responsible and her BD manager is blaming her for low revenue. Now the centre has asked her to resign or she will be terminated without any letter of recommendation and no compensation .. How can they do this to a Dr who has diligently served her patients. And knowing well she is not responsible for generating money which is totally the prerogative of the BD team. In all this the BD manager isn't being fired for his inefficient work and he has formed a cozy club with the management and the hr team...
