Abuse of process of law using the SC ST PoA Act

While I was studying in college, I was witness in a ragging case that involved my classmate. One of the persons responsible for ragging her initiated false proceeding under the SC ST PoA Act. I am the 2nd accused in the case. The case has been committed to the session court and I received a summons to appear before the court for admission proceedings. I have been charged with IPC 294(b),34 and 3(1)(x) of the SC ST Act. The allegations made in the charge-sheet are all baseless because I never knew this guy who filed the case against me. During my witness statement in the ragging case, he wasn't the one I testified about. My question carries two prongs of query: 1. What are my remedies available to get out of this case as soon as possible? Should I continue with the trial or approach the HC to quash proceedings? ( I am aware that section 498 is a bit of a stretch because the charge-sheet has been filed and that I should have moved earlier to quash the FIR. The thing is that I was out of India after my studies and wasn't aware of any this until a warrant was issued in my name for non-appearance in front of the Magistrate.) 2. What my legal options against the guy who filed this case against me for abuse of process of law under a protective legislation? Other relevant facts: The FIR was filed in 2014. The magistrate court committed the case to the session court in May 2016. Now the case has come up before the Session court for admission. The allegation against me is that i called him names belittling his caste and made fun of him in regional language. The funny thing is that I have barely working knowledge of the local language (Malayalam) because I was born and brought up outside my home state. Any insight into this would be of great help. Thank you.
