Bigamy is a criminal case and the aggrieved person can file a criminal complaint before the Court because this is a non cognizable case so police can not do any think except registered NCR only.

Hello,

You can file a criminal complaint under section 494 IPC before a Magistrate Court. Mention all the relevant dates and evidence of your marriage and the subsequent marriage of your spouse in the complaint.

This would include marriage certificate, photographs, video recording etc.

If he is involved in bigamy then you ought to file a criminal case against him directly in the court as prosecuting a bigamous spouse is not within the authority of police.

Any proof of him having married again without divorcing his first wife shall be submitted.
