• Copyright - Movie script

I wrote a movie script and I wanted to copyright it, therefore I went and log in to the "copyright.gov.in" site. I provided my user id and password and filled the application. i did all and at the end paid rs 5,000/-

Now they want me to send the following below by post

1. 2 copies of work -
which I know my script, but is it hard copy or the soft copy? I would be fine if it's soft copy.

2. print out of acknowledgement letter -
which I can take online. Do I have to sign at the bottom?

3. 3 sets of application form duly signed -
application form has 3 tabs - "APPLICATION FOR REGISTERATION OF COPYRIGHT",STATEMENT OF PARTICULARS, and PAYMENT DETAILS
Now my question is do I have to take print out of all the three pages or just the "application of registration of copyright"?
if I'm not wrong duly signed means signature with date at the end?

4. authorisation from author
I really didn't understand what does it means? what do i have to do? Even I don't have form with me. do i have to sign at the end if I get the form?

Above are the documents to be submitted by post. Do I have to submit any documents online?

Hello,

1. you are required to send both hard and soft copies of your work to copyright office.

2. It is good if you sign at the bottom of the acknowledgement letter.

3. print out of all three pages and three set of these 3 pages is required.

4. you can find this form here (https://www.apsnet.org/publications/apspress/Documents/authorization.pdf)

No you are just required to send this documents by post for physical verification.

1. It is hard copy;

2. You can sign at the bottom of the ack letter.

3. Three sets means, you have to take three sets of all relevant papers, applications, copies of the documents to be enclosed to it and also you may to sign in the place provided for signature of applicant.

4. If there are any author to the script other than you, then you may have to authorisation letter, if you are the author yourself, you need not get any such letter but sign at the bottom where a space is provided for signature.

But I still don't know how to get "authorisation from author" letter/template. What Anilesh sir attached here is "authorisation to publish". Could you please help me on this?

If it is your script then you need not obtain authorisation from any author because you are the author of your own script. If you would like to publish the script then you may obtain authorisation from the editor.
