1) you are not liable to pay fees for next academic year
2) you have submitted application for school leaving certificate before last date of academic year
3) complain to deputy director education against school refusal to issue SLC
School finishes academic year on 31st march, I had submitted application for School leaving certificate on 30 March 2021. School says last date was 10 February 2021, so I shall pay fees of next year, but due to covid breakout and fear for my child's intentional harassment by School authority I submitted it on very last day. Is the School correct, or I shall take legal action?

Lawyers are available now to answer your questions.
1) you are not liable to pay fees for next academic year
2) you have submitted application for school leaving certificate before last date of academic year
3) complain to deputy director education against school refusal to issue SLC
There's no rule authorizing the school authorities to collect next academic year's fees during the current academic session itself.
You have submitted an application even before closure of the current academic year, hence the school cannot deny the school leaving it transfer certificate.
You may take up the matter with the district education officer with a complaint letter against school authorities and escalate the issue through legal forum for remedy
Denial off LC is totally illegal and against the Rules. Submit a complaint to District Education Officer, He will issue order to school to immediately provide you LC.
Kindly ask by-laws copy created by school. School can't ask whole year fees you can take legal action.
Points I missed to add in my question 1. School is private and belongs to cbsc board 2 School almanac has reference to inform School leaving before 10th February, but I don't do it with fear of my daughter getting harassment from School authority, giving COVID restrictions reason 3 School did not accept School leaving application saying date to apply had been crossed, but I have video proof of the incident
Complain to cbse board against school refusal to issue school leaving certificate
you can also claim to deputy director education in your city
You are repeating the same points to which detailed answers were given.
Whether the school is private or government, all the institutes are bound by the law of the land, therefore you first exhaust the remedies available with the governmental authorities and then plan to escalate the issue through legal forum for relief.
email your complaint to <cbsecoe[dot]pune[at]gmail[dot]com> against refusal to give you LC giving all details.
- As per the Supreme Court , education is not the business to earn profit .
- Since, you have already submitted application for SLC prior to to starting the next session , then the school cannot force you to pay the tuition fee for the next session which is going to be started.
- Hence, you can lodge your compliant to the CBSE and before the Education Department of Ahmednagar.
Dear client
It is advisable to check the school's rules and regulations or any agreements that you may have signed to determine the deadline for submitting the application for a school leaving certificate. If the school's rules state that the deadline was 10th February 2021, and you submitted the application on 30th March, then it would be considered late, and the school may have the right to charge you fees for the next academic year.
However, if the school authorities are harassing your child or not following the proper procedures, you have the right to take legal action to protect your child's rights and well-being. It is best to seek the advice of a lawyer or relevant authorities for further guidance on how to proceed in such cases
