You do not have to give original document to the builder, let him produce the certified copy of the document obtained from the registrar's office.

If you have to submit the original document to the court then you will not be able to retrieve it till the case is disposed and after that also you may have to follow an arduous process to get back your document. 

If you are not involved in the case against him, you can ignore his requests and clearly deny to cooperate instead of suffering over this atr a later stage.

- Since, said case is fighting by the builder and the society is not a party of the same , then it is not advisable to handover the original documents for submitting the proofs before the court. 

- You can deny for the same , and instruct that if the court will summon the documents then only it can be produce before the court by the officials of the society . 

The builder is asking your original documents, hence you can refuse to accept his request, let him produce the certified copy obtained from the registrar office which is also a legally valid document and the court will; certainly entertain the same.

Take Acknowledgement from the Builder stating that he has received the original documents numbered as 1 to last number, as it's required to be produced before the Court in Case No....

Dear client in this case you can get a document signed by your builder where and you can mention the name of all the documents that you have handed over the him for the case

Society can provide the same for inspection or issue certified copy. If same is still handed over then seek indemnity bond from builder
