A marriage certificate is public document. Anyone can apply and obtain it. The only thing is that marriage took place in 1953, therefore it will take some time. Contact a local lawyer he can help you.
Hi My mother and father got marriage on 5 December 1953 at St Margaret's Church, Marguerita, Assam. I need to obtain a copy of their marriage certificate. They are both now deceased. I live in the UK. Can you obtain a copy of the marriage certificate? How long will it take? What would be the total cost? What more information is required? I look forward to hearing from you. Regards Charles Robson
