• Educational Certificate

Sir, I completed a B.Ed degree from NCTE-recognized ABR College of Education, Acharya Nagarjuna University, AP.
I was admitted to the B.Ed degree course with 42% marks in Graduation in 2014. I belong to the OBC category. After that, I completed my MA with 52% marks in 2017.

Now I want to know:-
 1) Will this B Ed certificate be valid for govt teacher recruitment?
 2) Can any reserved category candidate do B.ed with 40% marks in graduation?

  1. You have completed B.Ed. from NCTE approved institute, your degree is absolutely valid.
  2. As you are given admission in an approved institute only coz you are entitled to seat and you are above cut off marks.
  3. There is no room for doubt validity of your B.Ed. degree.

To get admission in B ED general category candidate must have 45% in graduation ( B A/B SC/ B COM) or 45% in post graduation ( M A/ M SC/ M COM) and SC/ST candidate must have 45% in graduation or in post graduation.

So if you don't have 50 % in graduation then you should do Post graduation with 45%.

2) in your case you had only 42 per cent marks in graduation .whereas even for SC /ST candidate should have 45 per cent marks in graduation .

3) your certificate may not be considered for teacher recruitment if  as per recruitment guidelines you don’t qualify

If advertisement for  teacher recruitment mentions that you need to score certain percentage of marks in graduation and B.e.d and you have not scored said marks your BEd degree would not be considered for said post

Dear Client,

Educational certificate attestation is in a way, the identification of the academic qualification of a person and adding up more value to it. Educational certificate attestation is important to accomplish career objectives. The certificates become more true and reliable after attestation.

Yes, B.Ed degree will be valid though if you have below 50% marks in graduation but twist is, you must complete Master degree with 50% marks atleast.

Thank You.

If there is any relaxation for OBC to get admission to B.Ed course in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination, then you are very much eligible, if there is no such relaxation given by the university concerned then the degree obtained may not be legally valid.

Besides the eligibility for recruitment to government teachers job would depend on the concerned state government rules and regulations, so you may enquire about iot within the education department of your state.

For this subsequent question the qualifying examination and the marks can be noted from the advertisement for recruitment given by the recruiting authority.

You can verify your eligibility status going through the advertisement for recruitment to the desirous post.

- As per rule , any candidate who has secured less than 50% marks in Degree exam is eligible for pursuing  B. Ed degree , but he must complete Master degree with at least 50% marks for getting teacher job in government school.

- Since, you have secured 52% in MA , then you are eligible for government teacher job.
