The name in the adhaar card can only be changed with some proof .This is a case of spelling mistake in service record since both spellings sound same .what should I do . Can I give some affidavit.
It is minor typographical error
affidavit can be executed that both are one and same person
affidavit should be notarised
Your father's name in your service records to that of his name appearing in his personal documents namely. aadhar or any other personal identification cards do not have any relationship to your gratuity and other terminal benefits that you are entitled to.
Your name should not differ from one record to another while submitting your applicatiion for such claims.
Whatever spelling you have mentioned in your service record with regard to your father's name shall remain so, his name appearing in aadhar card or any other document will not make any difference to your service records nor to the benefits your are going to claim from service, do not be confused over such unnecessary things.
- If , you are in the government service , then you should firstly check the name in the academic record before correcting any document.
- Further, if the service book having the same spelling of name which was mentioned in the academic record or given at the time of joining the service , then legally you cannot change the same .
- Hence, you can execute an affidavit after mentioning that both the names are same and of one person only , and submit the same for the correction of documents or also in the service record.
