It is possible
you can engage another lawyer for obtaining bail and provide 2 sureties
I came to India on Anticipatory Bail that was obtained from Lower sessions court/Mahila court in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. I would like to proceed and get my bail providing 2 sureties by appearing before the magistrate as spelled out in the Anticipatory Bail. My current lawyer is playing a double sided game and hence want to do this without using a lawyer by going to the court directly and producing sureities and paying the money and wanted to find out if this is possible.

Is it possible to obtain the bail without engaging a lawyer and just 2 sureities
After obtaining bail you have to produce sureties as ordered, fill up surety form, bailbond and personal bond in two sets. There is no bar against any party appearing in person in criminal proceedings. You can appear in person and take assistance of some experienced junior lawyer. Anyone will help out. You have already obtained a anticipatory bail not only failing of forms remains.
- Yes, you can produce the sureties without engaging a lawyer.
- However, the sureties are not enough , some documents are also required to submit with a bail bound for getting admitted the bail
- Hence, if that lawyer is giving trouble then engage a new one for the said work and also to contest the case.
You can very well proceed as per your thoughts as a party in person provided you know the procedures of law in this aspect.
At least you take the guidance from a different lawyer outside court in order to peacefully get enlarged on bail.
It is possible to get enlarged on regular bail after obtaining anticipatory bail as a party in person provided you know the procedures to be followed in this regard before the court court for this.
Dear Client,
This application will be filed with the help of you lawyer in the court where the case proceedings are to be heard. The court will approve the bail only if it thinks fit to do so. Without an Application for Bail, it is not possible to get Bail. The accused person can be released on bail by furnishing a surety when bail is granted. If the person is an indigent one he can be released on bail by the police or the court on his executing a bail bond without sureties under Section 436 CrPC.The personal bond with one or more sureties would mean that a third person (surety) is made responsible for the obligations of the accused.
Thanks & Regards
