• Dispute neighbour and the police

My neighbour is constantly harassing me and the police do nothing about it .e.,g, when I get into my pickup each morning by the side of my pickup doors, is a naked plastic doll with its backside facing towards me . if I push the doll over I can come back from work and the doll has been placed in the same position.I call this the harassment act. the neighbours CCTV cams are pointing directly at my house. my garage. as I walk in from work. as I go to work. I've told the police they do nothing. I also had a CCTV cam was stolen and the only person who could have taken it was my neighbour.I asked the police to check the neighbours CCTV cams.I also asked if they asked my neighbour for a voluntary police interview. they won't say anything. there's much more. I feel the police are biased. and they are protecting the neighbour. iam of mixed race. I've also found out the police cheat and lie. what about the small claims track or tribunal courts? for compensation etc? its still ongoing

If the local police is not cooperative then you may approach the higher police officer of the town/city with a similar complaint and seek his direction to the local police officer to look into the mater and initiate action as per law over the grievances you have expressed.

If you suspect your neighbor to have stolen the CCTV surveillance camera, in your complaint you can name your neighbor as the suspected person to have stolen your property.

If this is not working then you may even issue a legal notice to the neighbor mentioning his acts of nuisance which causes you mental agony and warn him from indulging in such unlawful activities lest you would be compelled to approach law enforcing authority for necessary redressal

You can approach the tribunal/court seeking direction to the concerned police to initiate appropriate legal action on the complaint submitted by you.

Dear client,

If you believe that the police are not doing their job properly, you can send an official letter discussing everything in detail to the nearest judicial magistrate. Alternatively, you may file an official suit against your neighbour for repeated harassment.

Thank you.

1. If the incidence has taken place in India then lodge a police complaint collecting adequate evidence to substantiate your allegation, under copy to the local DC/SP of the area.

2. If the police does not act, file a Writ Petition before the High Court alleging police inaction praying for direction upon the police to register FIR based on your said complaint, investigate and act as per law.

- Since, you have already lodge your compliant before the police and police failed to take legal action against the said neighbor , then you can send this complaint before the higher police official directly

- Further, if no response then file a compliant before the criminal tribunal and ask for the enquiry and to lodge a case against that neighbor .

Dear Querist

Your query is related to UK laws, It will be better to file a written complaint against your neighbor before the sheriff.

Or file a civil suit for injunction and compensation
