• Regarding residency certificate from a state of Andhra Pradesh

Can I know on what basis and different criterias to get residency certificate issued by tasildhar/MRO which is legally valid for government employment.?

  • Residents of last seven years in Andhra Pradesh are eligible to obtain a residence certificate
  • If a woman does not originally belong to Andhra Pradesh but is married to a man who is a permanent resident of the Andhra Pradesh, then she will be eligible to apply for a residence certificate

Documents Required

To obtain an Andhra Pradesh residence or domicile certificate, the applicant needs to submit the following documents:

  • Application form in the prescribed format
  • Address proof – Passport, voter card, ration card, electricity bill, water bill or telephone bill
  • House tax receipt
  • School Certificate – Mark sheet or Transfer Certificate
  • Identity Proof – Aadhaar Card
  • The applicant has to produce property details if any property owned by the parents or guardian
  • Proof of ownership of land or property in Andhra Pradesh (if required)

To obtain an Andhra Pradesh residence or domicile certificate the applicant needs to submit the following documents

When applying for a domicile certificate, the following documents have to be submitted along with the application form.

  • Residential proof of land or rented house (photocopy of land deed/rent receipt copy).
  • Application form.
  • House Tax, Telephone Bill or Electricity Bill.
  • Identity Proof (PAN card, Driving license, Voter card, Ration card, Passport).
  • Birth Certificate.

Click on Revenue Option there you will find Residence General form. 

You are required to fill in that and attach necessary documents in corroboration to prove your residence along with a self declaration on Rs. 100 stamp paper and apply before your concerned MRO/tehsildar. It is advisable for you to keep set of application form with documents for your records.

Local Candidate Certificate request is applied by the citizen through the Meeseva
centers. This request can be accessed by the Tahasildar and processed. The processing steps can be found in the said website.

 Nationality certificate is the certificate of your Nativity, it is used as a proof , for your residence in a particular country, whereas domicile is state level certificate, valid as a proof for resident in a particular state

The residence/domicile certificate is to be issued by the concerned authority of State Government/Union Territory to certify that the person bearing the certificate is a domicile/resident of State/Union Territory to whom the certificate being issued.

Such certificate is issued as proof of residence to avail domicile/resident quota in educational
institutions and in the State/Central Government services and also in the case of jobs where preference to local candidates is available as per Government of India instructions issued from time to time.

SC/ST students will be eligible to be issued the Domicile certificate and also Caste/Tribe Certificate, as the case may be. Other students will be eligible to be issued only the Residence/Domicile certificate.

You need to apply for domicile to prove nativity by producing electricity bill, water bill or other documents showing your residence for at least 10 to 15 years.

My sincere apologies for inconvenience. 

For attaining nativity certificate you need to get following documents: 

1. Your Adhaar Card

2. Electricity Bill : Oldest and latest available showing your name under head "OWNER"

3. Municipal Tax Bills: Oldest and Latest available showing your name under head "OWNER"

4. A notarized copy of self declaration stating that you are residing in the place (probably for more than 12 years by now) of which residence/nativity certificate you need to get issued. 

5. PDS API card and Election Card, if you have which shows your residence address. 

6. In case if you have revenue records/property card showing your name in the residence of which certificate you want to get issued, then place copy of the same to your application. 

7. Copy of Share Certificate, if issued by the Society you live in disclosing your residence there. 

8. Your Birth Certificate and School Leaving Certificate disclosing you being domicile of AP.
