Ordinarily, land more than 20 acres is surplus land. However, Section6[25]  specifies the land from imposition of ceiling and grant conditions for exemptions. Section 5 of the Act prescribes procedure for the determination of ceiling area. 3.70 acres land of unirrigated land or 3.70 acres land of single crops or 6.17 acres land of “grove” or 6.17 acres land of usar shall be treated as 2.47 acres of irrigated land. According to section 5 of the Act a tenure holder can keep 7.30 hectares (19 acres appx) but this section itself and section 6 provide so many exceptions like land for industrial purpose, gaushala and grove land that are exempted from this limit.

  1. As per the information mentioned in the present query, makes it clear that you wish to know the land for agriculture wherein three different seeds are in one land only.
  2. I would like to apprise you that yes there has been a limitation to buy such land for each seed.
  3. But, as the said land is having three seeds in one land, so the area would also get increased.
  4. Yet, need to look for the exact limit of permission of land, would go for some research as well in depth.
