Lawyers are available now to answer your questions.
When did your father become a manager .?
at what age ?
what is your father income ?
is your mother working ? Kindly clarify
In order to reply to your query, some more information is required viz., income of your father, date since when said position is held by him and total income of family i.e., your mother (if she is working) and father.
Based on said information it can be concluded as to whether you fall under General, NC-OBC.
If you father's last 3 years income is not more then 8 lakhs rupees you can go for Non Creamy Layer OBC other wise Creamy Layer OBC... Why for General?
Hi
As per your description you should apply in General category. NC-OBC Certificate is available with you then go ahead with that
Thanks
Dear Sir,
It depends upon your fathers income. Further information is as follows.
========================================================
Non-Creamy Layer candidates from OBC are entitled to reservations in jobs as well as educational institutions. However, many candidates (and even some bureaucrats) are ignorant about the provisions of OBC reservation.
If you are a deserving candidate belonging to OBC category, you should not miss the benefits of OBC reservation (due to ignorance). In this post, we shall see the criteria for determining whether you fall under OBC Creamy Layer or OBC Non-Creamy Layer.

My father became deputy manager at age of 44 , manager at 47 and sr. Manager at 50. Currently his salary is 20 lpa. My mother is a house wife
Dear sir,
As suggested earlier, considering your financial and social status, you will fall under NC-OBC.
He will be eligible for the same if he was promoted from class 2 to class 1. Salary will not be considered here.
- In PSUs, all executive-level posts, board-level executives and managerial-level posts are treated as equivalent to Group ‘A’ posts in the government and will be considered ‘creamy layer.
- Since, your father is working as Managerial post , hence you cannot claim OBC-NCL facility & reservations .
- However, you can mentioned your caste as OBC .
If your father is holding the class I or Group A post equivalent to central or state government post then you may have to confirm:
whether he was recruited as a class III employee or
recruited as class II employee and was promoted to the Class I post after crossing the age of 40 years;
If either of the thing is confirmed then you will be eligible for reservation for candidates coming under other backward class non creamy layer category.
The deputy manager may also come under class I category, hence you have to confirm that what was his designation at the time of recruitment.
If he was recruited as class III or Class II at that time and was subsequently elevated to Class I post after crossing 40 years of age then you may become eligible for the said privilege.
hi,
your question is not compete. you have not disclosed the category of your father.
Nevertheless whatever category u are just the fill the same , there might be another column which may ask about the annual income .
the financial status of any individual is the criteria to put one into creamy layer or not.
Dear Sir,
every state government has made it mandatory to obtain an Other Backward Classes (OBC) certificate for the people who fall under this category while applying for central government jobs. The certificate is valid only for a year’s time from the date of receiving of the certificate.
On the basis of the parent's income of a person, OBCs have been divided into creamy layer OBC and non-creamy layer OBC. If the income of the parents of the person applying for the OBC certificate is above Rs. 8 Lakhs, the person will fall under the creamy layer category, whereas, if the income of the person's parents is below Rs. 8 Lakhs, the person would belong to non-creamy layer category.
The eligibility criteria for obtaining a non-creamy layer certificate has been listed below:
The people who are not eligible to apply for this certificate are as follows:
1. If your family income is below 8 lakhs per annum and your father is not working as group A or B officer then you can apply for OBC NCL category.
2. But your father income is above 8 lakhs per annum then you should apply as general candidate.
OBC Creamy layer—-Who has yearly income more than 8 lakhs or Government Employees of greater than class 3 are not eligible for OBC Quota.
OBC Non-Creamy layer—– Who has a yearly income below 8 lakhs or Government Employees of Class 3 or below class 3 officers are eligible for OBC Quota.
OBC Non-Creamy Layer. If a total family income is less than 8 lakh per annum limit, the family is considered to be in non-creamy OBC category.
So better go for General category
