• Non-issuance of passport

The beat Marshall who comes to verify my address is under the influence of the building landlord with whom I am not on good terms. On the landlords instructions the beat Marshall reports that I do not stay at the given address. Other tenants who have to maintain relationship with the landlord also do the same. I have a letter / notice for m the landlord stating that I stay here with my father for last 50 years. Would like to file case for issuance of Passport for myself, wife and daughter.

You can approach the court under writ petition and seek direction to passport office for verification on the documents you have which supports your claim

Complain to police commissioner. That under the influence of LL, beat officer, submitted false report. He will be suspended. Or you directly go to concern PS, meet SHO and inform him about the act of beat officer. Submit your copy of proof of address. Give this in writing at both level and collect receiving.

If both thing failed, file writ in HC. I think problem will solve by complaining commissioner.

You should file an application for issuance of passport. If he interferes and gives wrong information then file a complaint with the police station sttaing that you have a letter and he is obstructing the role of police.

If the so called beat Marshall is acting under the influence of the landlord and giving adverse report about your residential address, you can give a complaint about him with the local police station to which he belongs and escalate the matter to the district superintendent of police and secure a copy of this complaint so that it will help you to fight against this menace with the passport issuing authority.

If no action is taken by the concerned police against their cop then you may approach court with a petition seeking direction against the police to initiate proper legal action against the erring police and submit proper report about your residential address to the concerned passport authority which will pave way for you to get your passport. properly.

- If you are having proof of residing there more than 2 years , then you should forwarded the same to the passport higher official after stating that , malafidely the beat Mashall consider the same and refuse to take on record.

- Further , you can also lodge your grievance with the Call Center at [deleted] or on the website www.passportindia.gov.in as well.

1. Send a letter to the beat marshall and also Regional Passport Officer to state that you have been residing for 50 years in the building and also annex the letter from landlord.

2. If the passport is still not issued then you will have remedies before the court.

this is the responsibility of the police 2 verify your residential address and report accordingly in case it is informed by the landlord that you do not stay at that place definitely you will not be able to prove that because police will report your non availability at your given address and the passport can only be issued after the complete verification you need to arrange something with your landlord so that your verification process can be completed

Dear sir,

Police verification is done to ensure that passports are going to the right hands. The process begins right after you leave PSK or RPO, later your file is sent to passport cell under SP office of the district, there they filter and forward files to respective police station for verification. Once file is received to your local police station, they cross verify your details with relevant databases to confirm whether you are lodged in or not in any of complaints against, then you need to submit some documents to prove your social identity and assurance that you are a resident at given address and comply with local legislation.

Post submission of your documents to local police station in person, it is again forwarded to passport cell (LIU) and there they re-verify to ensure that no information is hidden purposely.

You’re just required to be present at the time of verification, non availability may lead to an adverse report so on a sad rejection and huge penalty.

Documents you may required to submit are as follows:

  • Copy of Aadhar card,Voter Id, Bank passbook, Registered rent agreement or any other relevant document you’ve submitted at PSK to support present address.
  • Copy of Matriculation certificate.
  • Copy of Birth certificate if born on or after 26/01/1989.
  • Either a Certificate issued by Sabhsad,Parshad of your territory Or any two local references giving in their details in favor Or A letter issued by Gram Pradhan or Panchayat if you belong to such areas.
  • Two passport size recent color photographs.

Please make sure you carry all documents in original as they may ask you to produce anytime during PVR process.

Now, Sit back and relaxed. Hopefully you will get your passport very soon.

You’re humbly requested not to bribe any of the officials at any stage of PVR process, doing this will raise their confidence to misuse their core rights indeed.

Hence we will continue to see victims with no offense done but they suffer just because some of us still bribing in fear instead of supporting eradication for root cause, other way it also shows least faith in system, and violation of our mutual rights to in act as an empowered citizens of nation.

you can correct the mistake and apply again after 3 days. If you are at odds with the reason for rejection, or if the reasons are not clear, you can write to the RPO or register a grievance. The passport office will look into it and the matter will be resolved at the earliest possible.

1. You must have several other evidence to establish that you have been staying and still continuing to stay at the given address.

2. Meet the In charge of the concerned police Station and report the incidence of adverse report given by the bit Marshall. Some amount might have to be spent by you at that place.

3. If you still do not get the desired result, write to and meet the DC/SP having jurisdiction of the said police station seeking his intervention.

4. If the matter does not get solved even at this stage, file a Writ Petition before the High Court against Police wrong action praying for a direction upon the police to investigate about your residence and submit report to the Passport Authorities within 30 days thereof.
