My parents have gifted me a part of their property. They have a bore well in their part of the property from which they're giving water to two tenants and myself at a monthly charge.Now they're threatening to cut off water supply to me .Do I have any right to the water supply?

See you cannot claim right on water of that bore well, the bore well is in there property and conception is in there name so.you cannot stake any claim.
- Since, you father gifted a part of the Property, hence legally you become the owner for the same, as once Gift deed executed , it cannot cancelled without Court Order.
- Further, on the ground of the proof of your staying in that portion of the property , you can easily apply for for getting water new borewell .
- As per section 11 of the Karnataka Ground Water (Regulation and Control of Development and Management) Act, 2011,you may grant permission after apply in BWSSB.
- You should fill up the Form No.1A for drinking purpose and can get the same from all divisions of BWSSB.
- Further you can download the same from the www.bwssb.org as well.
- You have to submit the said application form in the office of Deputy Chief Engineer, Maintenance Zone along with payment of prescribed fee of Rs.50/- for drinking purpose, and 500/- for commercial / industrial purpose.

They have don't have any right to cut the water supply you can file police complaint as well civil suit for the same
Well if the bore well is tye only source of water then yes under the easement act they are bound by law to provide for water.

You may try such right otherwise you may file a suit for easementary right to exercise your right to get water.
Since it is their bore well they only can decide about this.
You do not have any rights init especially if you had been paying for the water from the Well.
