It is not clear from your post whether there is any bar for any candidate who own a house above the measurement of 1000 sq ft.

2. Moreover if 1000 sq ft is mentioned about a land then for flat it would comprise 35% extra area.

3. SO if you come clear with you query then I can advise further.

It is not specified what classification of area is to consider for this purpose .

So it is better to mention the area as mentioned in the registered deed of the property .

If you or your family owns residential building of  more than  1000 sft of area , you shall not be eligible for this purpose .

To become eligible for EWS, the residential flat area should be below 1000 sq ft. Don`t get confuse between flat and independent house, this meant any residential property.

Not eligible.

In comparison to flat, independent house is more expansive.

If you are not eligible to appoint under this category then what suggestions do you require from this forum, you may have to choose the other category only.

Economically Weaker Section (EWS) in India is a subcategory of people belonging to the General Category having an annual family income less than 8 lakhs and who do not belong to any reserved category such as SC/ST/OBC (central list). If an EWS candidate's annual family income is above the prescribed limit, then he/she will be recognized as a candidate from General category and not from EWS category.

Therefore you may have to contest under general category if you are not eligible under the EWS category.

Hi

To qualify for reservation under EWS,  your house should not exceed 1000 Square feet in carpet area (Carpet area is the area that can be used to spread a carpet inside the house. It is the net usable area of the apartment. It includes the thickness of the internal wall but excludes balcony or terrace. Technically, the distance between inner walls is carpet area.)

Also since you own an independent house, you need to fulfill the Residential Plot (less than 100 square yards) if your property is coming under cuddapah municipal town limits.

So , you will qualify if your carpet area of the house is less than 1000 square feet and plot size is less than 100 square yards.

Dear sir,

You must plead in such a way which is beneficial to you and thus get an order and if such order is not favoring you then you can challenge before the High court and normally on humanitarian grounds you will be held eligible for EWS
