3. once you get the exact plot number take possession,
4. if already occupied, file suit accordingly,

1. With the available Plot Purchase Agreement /Deed /Document, APPLY for Govt. Survey of your land (not private survey), with the district /taluka Tahsildar's office, and obtain the layout plan and the survey report.
2. The above documents will give you clear picture of your existing land and of any encroachments etc....
3. Based on the above documents, apply for Mutation /Transfer of plot in your name, with Tahsildar's office, annexing all the other available documents and records.
4. IF the tahdildar does not take action within 3 months, THEN file a Declaration Suit in the local Civil Court, for your Title-Ownership declaration.
Greetings!
When You dont know the details of plot especially plot no then how can you ask for transfer of khata in your name fo you have any genuine documents by which your father har purchase the property if so then you can approach revenue department for transfer of khata if you are the only one legal heir to your father otherwise all the legal heir will be entitled to the said plot.
You have to file a declaratory suit against the person having possession of the plot.
The suit should also include committee as party for mandatory injunction to make your entries in Intkaal.
firstly go through your registered sale Agreement and see the location of your plot on the property. there must be north south east west directions written in schedule attach to your agreement and also see the layout enclosed with the agreement.
1. If the sale deed is registered in your favour then your title is clear.
2. Mutation can be done even now if you have the original sale deed. Mutation is a document which is important only for revenue purposes, and is not a document of title.
You apply for mutation of revenue records of the property to your name from your father's name after obtaining NOC from other legal heirs of your father.
The revenue department would ask you to furnish the correct survey number, yo can file an application seeking survey of yor property based on the registered title documents in your possession.
