You need to inquire it with the collectors office
Hi, My Grand father was allotted agriculture land in 1961 as he was a freedom fighter and fought in Hyderabad liberation movement against Razakars. Now we have lost the allotment letter from government and our land is showing as Government land in records. so my question is can we get a copy of the same if yes which department in Govt. now Telangana then Andhra Pradesh we need to apply and what is the procedure. My grand mother is still drawing the pension for the freedom fighter quota and we have proofs that my Grand father was a freedom fighter. Thanks

Lawyers are available now to answer your questions.
Do you have xerox copies of the allottment letter
2) if not you can file RTI application as to whether land was allotted to your grand father as per govt records
If land was transferred on your grandfather name than his name may appear in the mutation papers, check records from the date one award awarded.
1. A certified copy of the same can be obtained from the office of sub-registrar after conducting a manual search therein.
2. Engage a local lawyer for this purpose.
Hi
You can contact the Collector and make a written representation by enclosing a "Photo Copy" of said allotment, under acknowledgement.
In case if you do not have photo copy of the same, you can make an application under RTI Act.
Enclose your GMs pension details.
In settlement department, Decades old documents related to land preserves there. Documents may not have transfer to telangana.
@Yogendra Singh, What is Settlement department state? central?. how to reach them and ask regarding this. please clarify. Thanks.
State settlement department, all the old records are preserve at one place - DAAK bunglow.
Search online, you will get the address of your city department.
It would be state department and not central as allotment was done by state govt to your grandfather
Dear Sir,
You may approach the land revenue department with an application seeking copy of the allotment letter.
If they don't entertain your application then you can approach court seeking direction to the revenue department to furnish the copy of the said allotment letter and your grandmother 's pension records may be submitted as evidence to prove your case.
You may approach the land revenue department and submit an application seeking duplicate copy of the allotment letter.
