I resigned bank in Jul 2018 after selection in railway, before joining bank I informed bank that I applied for railway and took NOC..After final selection I resigned. Now I am under trg in railway but due to hard ship of duties of railway I want to quit and rejoin bank. I asked bank authority verbally about this but they refused. Sorry. It is not possible. You must join afresh through recruitment procedure.

resignation becomes effective from the date mentioned in the resignation letter and the resignation can be withdrawn before the date mentioned in the letter of resignation.

2) If bank  accepted your resignation w.e.f the date which was mentioned by you in your resignation letter then you cannot succeed in the court of law for the reason that the contract of employment ceased by your resignation

3) your request has been rejected by PNB

4) continue with your job in railways

After submitting resignation and till it has been accepted you may take it back but after acceptance , no way so go ahead in the light of this opinion.

Dear Client,

Benefit of having a lien in a post/service is enjoyed by all employees who are confirmed in the post/service of entry or who have been promoted to a higher post, declared as having completed the probation where it is prescribed. IF you qualify any of these conditions can claim lien.

Once the resignation is accepted, then your chances of rejoining are bleak. However it depends on how structured the HR Policies of the bank.

Once you have tendered your resignation and the bank has accepted it and relieved you from duty and struck you from their strength citing your resignation as reason, it may not be possible for you to rejoin.

No legal steps would benefit you in this since this rule or regulation

  1. As per the information mentioned in the present query, makes it clear that you now wish to join the bank again.
  2. I would like to mention one think to you that once you have given resignation then it can’t be your prerogative to ask for reinstatement in the same bank.
  3. You were selected via examination and then you yourself have the resignation.
  4. Now, legally you can’t force the bank to take you back unless and until you have anything in written by bank to you about your right to come back.
