• Regarding NOC/relieving letter

I am currently working in a public sector bank but I have been selected for state civil services.
However I did not apply for NOC at the time of interview.
.I have tendered resignation notice of three months.

Depends on what the service rules of your Bank say.

In case it is provided in the service rules that you were ought to obtain permission prior to making application seeking outside employment, the Bank might refuse to accept your resignation. In any eventuality, you will have a legal remedy at your disposal.

Hello,

1)  If you are Following guidelines and complying by the requisite notice period, the bank has no reason to refuse to accept your resignation.

2)  You may gave difficulty when the state civil services ask you tho obtain NOC from the bank as it is a public sector organization.

3)  You will need tho provide a legitimate and logical explanation fit not having obtained NOC at the time of interview.

The bank may raise objections when they come to know  of the reasons. Also the state services always demand a noc but in your case they didn't.

Now if you have sufficient time to join the state services then don't tell the bank and leave them at the appropriate time.

If you have tendered your resignation observing the conditions for resignation then the bank has no reason to object or stop your from getting relieved.

They cannot force you to work with them beyond the notice period if you have served the notice period as per the terms of employment.
