They shouldn't be rejecting your candidature for this discrepancy.
At any time they point out this discrepancy, give them an affidavit justifying the cause behind this discrepancy and saying that XZ and XY is one and the same person.

hello
the name has been changed post marriage and hence a certificate to this effect must be applied for by registering the marriage. it takes only a day to register the marriage if you are already married. also, an affidavit must be made and presented to the authorities at the time of the verification you should submit it if they want something in writing.
regards
you need to publish the change of name in at least two local newspaper. It’s recommended that you publish one in an English daily and one in a regional publication. This is to announce your new name publicly. Remember to keep copies of newspaper with you.
Gazette notification
Once it’s published, you should then get it notified in the official gazette of the state you reside in. This can be done by filling the deed changing name form from the gazette office. Don’t forget to take duplicate copies. Submit the copies to the office for publishing in the Government press for gazette notification.
Sir, Somebody says that Name in Application Form and in All Mark sheets must be same? otherwise question will asked. As per the answer received from the all Honorable Advocate, it seems that When i go through with Affidavit and Marriage certificate then there will be no problem?? one last question: What is to be included in name section under Marriage certificate either the old one or new one or both? please help. I am very thankful to you Regards
Dear Client,
there`s no such issues, name change issue will resolve by mere affidavit on pie paper, in support of this, dept. can ask copy of marriage certificate. So better apply for it, one day thing.
In the form, you will fill X Y d/o Mr. Y and now Mrs. X Z w/o Mr. Z.
Change in Surname means if you are in same State then no effect as it has been presumed that after marriage girls surname automatically change to as her husband's surname but in this case or if you are married in other State then to your parent
State reservation or other facilities shall not be allowed to you as in this matter rules are different in all the States. So don't change your Surname in the Certificates(High School, Inter or Graduation etc) as it will be fatal. Aadhar Card you have made after marriage then try to support it with the documents you have got after the marriage and if you want to use your High School etc then give name as has been there. Don't worry the person who will come for verification will be satisfied with these arguments.
if your name has changed after marriage you should execute affidavit of name change , publication in official gazette , 2 local newspapers
Get an affidavit prepared of the same name and get your marriage registered, it is just a one day process. Do not worry
Regards
not necessary that Name in Application Form and in All Mark sheets must be same
2) if you are married your marriage certificate is proof of your marriage
3) execute affidavit of name change , publication in official gazette
the marriage certificate only displays the name of the husband and wife as they are before marriage. there, the name cannot be changed. after registration, you can give an application to this effect and the name would be changed. there is a procedure for that.
regards
You dont be worried about this.
You prepare an affidavit declaring your name as well as the changed name, get the affidavit notarised by a notary public.
Get the same published in a local newspaper, keep all these records along with your original certificates, and produce them during verification, it will be considered.
one last question: What is to be included in name section under Marriage certificate either the old one or new one or both?
In the application for marriage certificate both the names have to be given, i.e., the maiden name and name after marriage.
Actually there is no need to change your name after marriage.
There is no law forcing you to change your maiden name after marriage.
Therefore dont become a problem for yourself by adopting such fancy ideas
