Sir since you are government employee you can not do a part time or full time employment and cannot indulge into other sectors and providing services. So if you provide such services then it would be better to give bill and use name of wife mother who are not employed in government services

That will amount to corruption if you take any money in lieu of some government work.

You are on a full time employment of government and you are not allowed to do any full time or part time business and taking any brokerage out of the deal may go against you and you can be charged for breach of your employment conditions.

Please stay away with these kind of transaction in your account

hello

govt. employees are prohibited from carrying on any trade or profession or business. the brokerage cones within the purview of such a restriction and hence you cannot do it, although you can take the amount on behalf of your wife if your wife shows that she sold the land and received the brokerage for that.

1. No. Such earning will be considered as earning derived by actively acting for the sale i.e. earning from other source by actively taking part in the operation.

2. Earning through MF. FD, shares where you do not take part actively will not be illegal for you being a Government employee.
