1. Yes, you can make the marriage certificate now stating wither your maiden name or with your post marriage name.

2. Now if you wish to start using the new name or surname then to remove the confusion you can make an affidavit before the Magistrate and then make a gazette or news paper publication.

3. One can change or start using a new name or surname at point of his life and there is no legal impediment in it.

Dear Client,

Your whole case is disputable - Kiran - Kiran Sharma - aarti kappor - kiran kappor - This will always create dispute.

And where you have used name aarti kapoor, those documents are forged and criminal offense.

1. It should match with the name on your passport. Let there be uniformity in all your official docs. Get your name changed to aarti Kapoor in both the passport as well as marriage certificate, since the same name is there on the rest of your official docs

Hi

1) For change of name, since you have been using Kiran Kapoor in your PAN, Aadhar, Passport since 2010, there is no need to comply with the process for name change (advertisement, affidavit, publishing in Gazette etc) .

2) Since your marriage had happened in accordance to hindu rituals and you have changed the name from Sharma to Kapoor (which is common in Hindu Marriages) and thereafter you have applied for PAN, Aadhar, Passport etc, as a matter of fact the Marriage Registration certificate is only an additional document in support of your marriage. As a matter of fact, marriage registration is mandatory only marriages held after the year 2014 and not prior to that.

3) For all practical purposes, your name will continue to remain as Kiran Kapoor since 2010 and the same has been recorded in government records as such and there is no infirmities

4) There is no necessity to issue advertisement or publish the name change in gazette as the name has already been changed in Passport, Aadhar, PAN and bank statements.

Hope this information is useful.

1. Since the name in your official documents is Aarti Kapoor then the name in marriage certificate should be same, any situation otherwise will go against you.

2. You must change name in all the documents, and keep same name everywhere in my advise.

1. The name in the marriage certificate and the application for passport is different, hence it may create a problem, you may better apply for change of name in the passport by giving an affidavit to this effect.

2. You may apply for change of name by making an affidavit duly notarized and get a public notice effected in a local newspaper .

Keep the copy of the same with your certificate to prove the change of name, wherever required.
