• Ex husband threatening

I have been divorced for over 2 years now and have the custody of my daughter and my ex husband has been following me everyday since we divorced. He wants me back and follows my every action. He has been violent with my male colleagues a few times and even threatened my sister. I really need to know what to do. I am very scared and my social life is dead. On one occasion, he tortured me and kept me locked for few hours and I had no audacity to go to the police about this. I am scared to go out or meet people. He is from a very well reputed family and from the family of ministers. I don't understand what to do. Please help what kind of case can I really file

For this you'll have to approach police and give complaint against husband under section 340/354(d) /506 for wrongful confinement, stalking and criminal intimidation.

If police refuse to file FIR, you can approach senior police officials under section 154(3) of the CRPC.

However if they also feel to take any action will have to file an application under section 156 (3)CRPC to a magistrate for ordering investigation and registration of FIR against your husband.

1. if you do not want to come back to him then no law can force you to do so.

2. Now for his past misdeeds and present acts of wronging you can lodge complaint against him and initiate criminal case.

3. Do note that no one is above law and hence there is nothing to be worried about his connection.

4. So break your silence , rise and visit the police station to lodge complaint on which basis appropriate criminal case would be set in motion.

Meet an advocate to do so.

Good luck.

Mam file a complaint with the police if police refuse to take the complaint either file a writ petition before the high court seeking for direction for police to file FIR or file a private complaint with the jurisdictional magistrate.

You can file case of intimidation, threatening, for illegal restraint.

Hello,

You may go ahead and file an FIR against the person threatening you. No one is allowed to follow you and torture you for any reason for whatsoever.

Get in touch with a local lawyer and file a complaint against him.
