Does the contract provide for arbitration as a mode dispute resolution? If there is no clause in the contract to that effect then a petition would have to be filed in the court for the appointment of an arbitrator? The cost of arbitration would be the fees of the lawyer and the arbitrator.

How do I initiate arbitration ? Is there a standard communication format? Or specific organisation that I should contact such as ICA? What would be the cost of arbitration for a claim of 3 lacs? Thanks
