• Resignation from Railway Service

I am working as Sr. Section Engineer (Estimator) in East Coast Railway HQs, Bhubaneswar. Due to heavy work pressure, I am not comfortable in working in Railways. The work culture is not good for an employee. I am in Railway Service from July 2015. I want to tender my resignation to the Railway Authority. What should I mention the reason for resignation from service. There are no disciplinary action or vigilance proceedings pending against me.

1) these days in every organisation you have to face heavy work pressure

2) you have decent job in Railways and should not resign from service

3) if at all you want to resign you should in your resignation mention that you want to resign for personal reasons

You may cite your 'personal reasons' behind your resignation.

If there's no departmental enquiry or vigilance proceedings pending against you, the Railway should accept your resignation.

Hello,

Kindly peruse the terms of the employment.

Follow that procedure, you can write that due to some personnel difficulty (aged parents, future of children, some ailment) you will not be able to carry on the job.

Write it in a humble and respectful language.

Do not worry there will not proceedings if you exit after following the procedure.

Hi, the reason of resignation can be your personal choice as you have a liberty to work as per the constitution of India .. Also consider that you may not have a bond signed with the department

You can very well mention the factual reason for tendering your resignation, if you are not comfortable to mention the factual reason, you can mention general reason that owing to your personal problems you are not able to continue the employment
