You have done a crime by representating a dead person as alive. Its called criminal intimidation.

Immediately inform the bank. If you can't move around then you can give poa to any of your relative who will represent you in your absence.

So risw, awake and remove this misrepresentation at once.

Firstly, no need to worry, whenever you are ok to go to the branch, go and made an application to the bank that you have mistakenly linked your deceased mother's aadhar number now you want to change it.

Secondly, update the mobile number also.

Lastly, and also mention in the same or file one more application requesting to delete your mom's part from your account, and also get the original and photocopy of her death certificate.

And time period will extend for sure to link don't worry

Can say it human error. go to bank and rectify, if ur mobile deactivated. Until Supreme court orders, its not compulsory to link with bank account.

Hi, since your mother is deceased you can intimate the branch manager and can detach her from the account .. There is nothing to worry , just visit the branch and provide your Aadhar details .. They will update it accordingly ..

1) you cannot like your bank account with that of mother Aadhar card

2) the deadline of linking would be extended from December

3) you should visit the bank and rectify the mistake

You should immediately visit your bank personally or through someone to rectify the mistake

It has to be linked with your name before the deadline, though it is expected that deadline will be extended.

The Aadhar card of the mother should not be linked to the account as she is no more and you need to request the bank to transfer the account in your name only.

The phone no. in Aadhar account may be updated by visiting any Aadhar center and takes a week to update. You may link your no in the bank by visiting any branch of the bank or through online before the required date.

No it will not be blocked.

Even if you are not well you can send someone to the bank with a letter describing this detail that you are not well and by mistake have registered mothers aadhar card.

Give a POA to someone to this thing on your behalf

Since the bank has asked you to link aadhar number to the account, you have linked the number of another joint account holder, though that person is no more living.

Well there is nothing wrong in it since there is no problem to link the number of joint account holder.

Let the bank come out with their objection after which you may take necessary steps to rectify the error.

Actually the bank need some aadhar number of either or the survivor.

Since you have already linked your mother's number, you need not be worried about linking yours so soon.

You can do it at the time of applying for any other facilities, if need be.
