What is the Standard Parking space (in measurement) a builder should allocate for a flat? For a paid covered parking what is the standard parking space a builder should allocate.

When parking space for cars is to be provided, it shall not be less than 20 square metres in open

area and under stilts & basement - 30 square metre per vehicle

2) As per CMDA regulations, the minimum size of a car parking space is 2.5 m (8’2”) wide and 5 m (16’4”) long

Generally it is 2.5 mts * 5 mts

And usually the builders allots approximately this much area.

Stilt parking shall be allowed upto maximum height of 2.4 mtrs upto bottom of beam free from FAR for plot size of 112 sq mtrs and above. However, in case stilt is not provided, parking may be allowed in the setbacks.

The parking space must be a standard area to accommodate a medium size four wheeler.

Hi, there is no standard size that is prescribed in any book of law . However , if the single parking is charged by the builder for a flat , then the area of it should be large enough to accommodate a domestic vehicle

If at all you are purchasing a new property and intend to negotiate with the builder then you must know that a builder is not authorized to sell parking spaces as individual real estate units.

The builder has to provide a certain number of parking spaces basis the number of units of houses. As per a mandate from the Mumbai High Court, the builder is not allowed to sell parking spaces outside the FSI consumed. This has been confirmed by the Supreme Court of India too.
