• Credit card default

My son was working in Dubai since 2010 where he landed with 7 credit cards. When I came to know of this, I cleared the whole amt.(approx.8 lakhs) in 2015. He lost his job in 2016 and came back to India. In the meanwhile banks are insisting to pay and clear the pending credit cards as they had not given the settle ment letter even after insisting. Now, My son is likely to join back at Dubai in another job.
My question is whether this alleged nonpayment will be an impediment for his getting VISA clearance. In other words, for credit card non payment as alleged by Dubai banks, company visa clearance will not be done? It may be mentioned that all the credit cards were issued by Dubai based banks only.

Your son would have problems if there is legal proceedings initiated by Dubai banks

2) if there is no pending litigation your son should not have problems in obtaining visa

1.If no case has been filed or any complaint is lodged the dispute with regard to credit card would not pose any difficulty in obtaining visa.

2. Since it is a new job the clearance from earlier company is not required.

3. At the time of settling the amount you should have first insisted on closure letter . Now insist on this so the credit card companies many not continue to ask for further arrears.

1. If the banks have reported this to the UAE Embassy in India then it may become a major obstacle.

2. If the Embassy puts an objection then show it the proof of remittance of money to the banks in UAE.

If your son has defaulted in repayment of loan or credit card, the banker at Dubai may seek permission to ban your entry into that country.

if there is no ban then your son can travel to Dubai once again.
