• OBC non creamy layer eligibility

My father and mother combined income for previous year is 8lakh+ and previous two years is 6lakhs+
I heard that OBC NCL eligibilty limit raised for 8lakhs. Am I eligible for that? or that the rule has come this year so previous years should be less than 6lakhs only?

Your parents combined income for last 3years should not be more than Rs 8 lakhs

2) you would be eligible for OBCNL certificate even if income for last 2 years is more than Rs 6 lakhs

If your parents income is through salary then this criteria will not apply to your situation.

It means that if income from other sources other than the salary and agriculture exceeds the income limit, then only the candidates shall be treated as Creamy Layer.

The effective date is from the date of announcement of the enhanced rate.

As there is no particular mention about the retrospective effect, the enhancement shall be effected from the date of its announcement only. As far as the previous income is concerned it will remain as it is.

Please be aware that Income from salaries and agriculture operations will not be clubbed with any other sources of income. Only the other

sources of income other than salaries and agriculture income will be taken into consideration for arriving at the

income limit of both parents taken together.
