Conversion is of religion( Hinduism to Christianity) .. How you have converted?

(Schedule Caste) Order, 1950 was enacted it provided a list of castes which shall be deemed to be schedule caste in respect of State to which it relates, which can further be altered by that State. It also expressly provides that any person who is not a Hindu, Sikh or Buddhist shall not be deemed to be the member of the Schedule Caste, thereby excluding the Christian Dalits.

2) SC has held person shall not be deprived of reservation benefits if he decides to “reconvert” to Hinduism and adopts the caste that his forefathers originally belonged to just because he was born to Christian parents or has a Christian spouse.

You will be unable to enjoy the SC quota benefits after converting to Christianity. However, if your reconvert as a Hindu, the SC quota benefits as were available to you will be revived.

Sir,i belong to schedule caste but i am converted to christian,so i have a problem while registration of gate form that whether my caste will be now general or obc?

Once you have officially converted to Christianity from Hinduism, then you will stand losing the SC community status.

You are not eligible to claim the reservation since you have converted your cast now.

But now if you plan to change back your religion again to hinduism then you will be eligible for the reservation like before.
