You can get your leave cancelled and then you can appear for exam. It is a logical inference that if you are on a medical leave then you can not appear for a particular exam.

Dear Sir, I am a doctor. I was working in a govt hosptial and I got a PG seat then joined my PG course. Course was two years. I was not appeared in the final exams. then after completion of two years I again joined back to govt hospital for work. After six month i took medical leave for preparation and appeared for the exams and cleared it during the medical leave. I got my professional certificate and my degree is registered in medical council. Now only I got to know that I cannot appear for exams during medical leave. Is that rule applicable here also? now what could be the solution for this? Thanks in advance!

1. While being on a medical leave you cannot appear for an exam. This is basic law.
2. If you want to sit for an exam then apply for cancellation of medical leave.
Dear Sirs, My questions is different. During medical leave, I have attended the exams and cleared it. I got my provisional degree certificate. My post graduate degree is also registered in medical council. They accepted it and gave me registration letter. These all happened an year before. But today only I got this info from a friend that one cannot appear in exams during medical leave. Now my question is, my degree is valid or not? Will there be any problem in future? If so how could I proceed further..?? thanks in advance!
1. Your query was this ". Now only I got to know that I cannot appear for exams during medical leave. Is that rule applicable here also?"... So I have answered on the legality of siting for an exam during medical leave.
2. Now that you have come up with an amended query, which you are attempting to read into the original query, my answer will be that degree itself does not become invalid, but you are liable to disciplinary action.
during medical leave you cannot appear in exams
2) you have obtained medical leave on false pretenses
3)department can take strict disciplinary action against you
your degree is valid as you cleared the exams
however disciplinary action can be taken against you for giving false medical certificate
The medical leave is granted for taking rest as per medical advise whereas misuse of the same my attract disciplinary actions by the department.
The department can very well initiate proper legal action on this if they come to know that you have availed medical leave for preparing and appearing in examinations.
Hence dont reveal this fact.
There is no reason that your degree will not be valid.
The degree is very much valid because you have strained for the examination and done well to come out successfully.
Howe ever the department may take disciplinary action for misusing the medical leave
Even the doctor who recommended medical leave will be in a fix.
