You will need a succession certificate also, and if the car is to be sold in some other state then first you will have to obtain NOC from the RTO where car is registered and then only can you sell it and also since your are now the legal heir you will first have to get it transferred on your name and then only can it be sold to someone else, and the said transfer can only be done at the place where the vehicle was first registered.

Get the car transferred by obtaining a succession certificate in your favour. On the basis of this certificate get the car transferred in your name. You can sell this off thereafter.

1. If you find a seller in Bengaluru who is willing to buy an AP registration car then do it, else you will have to apply to the concerned RTO in AP to transfer the registration.

2. Your query does not mention whether your mother-in-law is alive or not. If she is not alive, or is alive but has no objection to the car being sold, you are free to sell it.

/the legal heirs or successors of your deceased husband have to jointly sell the car by jointly signing the sale agreement or sale receipt.

The TO form also to be signed by all together or the other legal heirs can give NOC authorising one among them to sell and have further transactions in this regard on all their behalf.

The TO form should be given to the concerned RTO office only.

If the buyer would like to have the car in AP, then you may have to bring it back to AP from Bangalore.

The buyer has to get the transfer of vehicle to his name through the concerned RTO only and not out of the jurisdiction in a different state.
