1. I am not sure with your query. If you have valid SC certificate there is no harm to apply job and get appointed in reserved category.

You can apply for job under general category also.

2. No employer can force its prospective employee to accept the job. If you disagree then refuse to join.

3. The bank can seek information from issuing authority to find out whether the Certificate s genuine or not,

1. I do not envisage any problem to be faced by you in your job with a Bank for being a first generation SC certificate holder if the said caste certificate has been obtained validly and if you have got the Bank job against quota reserved for SC candidates.

2. There will be no problem with you legally if you refuse to join the Bank after rceiving the appointment letter.

3. Bank HR department will certainly send your caste certificate to the appropriate authority to verify its genuinity and you shall be summarily dismissed from your cervices if your said caste certificate is found to be fake and in that case you shall not get any Govt. job in your life in future. If your caste certificate is found to be genuine, then you shall have no legal problem in your employment in this regard. If your said certificate is not genuine, then you should not join the said Bank now whose employment you have managed to get as a SC candidate.

1. If you have obtained the certificate validly there should be no problem.

2. You are free to reject the offer letter by the bank, in which event it will not ripen into a contract, but if you accept it and do not join then you will be treated as having violated the contract.

3. The bank will verify it through its legal team.

1. You know very well whether you belong to SC category or not. No body gets caste certificate through agent. Visit the said SDO office to verify whether the said caste certificate issued in your name is genuine or fake. You can take the RTI route also to get the said information in writing.

2. If you do not join them, they will not verify the caste certificate now. There will be no legal problem if you do not join the Bank.

3. They will verify the certificate only after your joining.

4. If the said caste certificate is a fake one then the only step you should take is not to join the said Bank.

1. Does it bear the stamp of the issuing authority? Did you furnish true particulars while applying for the certificate? If the answer to both these questions is in affirmative the certificate has to be valid. Consult a lawyer with the certificate to get a clear opinion.

2.If the certificate is found to be forged you can be terminated and prosecution for cheating and forgery launched against you.
