- Under article 25 of the Constitution of India, a person has his fundamental right to profess any religion but he cannot change his caste willingly.

- If your grandfather was a general caste , then you can submit the proof of the same before the competent authority to change the case , but you cannot change the same in educational certificates after passing the said education.

Dear client,

Changing your caste from OBC Gadariya to General Rajput could be tough due to existing legal constraints. The Supreme Court has established rules for changing one's caste status, stressing that any changes should be made after careful consideration and not in order to gain social or financial advantages. By contacting the relevant authorities, you can investigate the possibility of having the caste information on your educational documents corrected. But note that the procedure may need you to present proof of your Rajput ancestry. Comprehend the particular guidelines and regulations set forth in the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950, as well as the pertinent state statutes pertaining to caste certification. Remember that in these situations, it's important to have the purpose of correcting a true error rather than pursuing reservation benefits.

Hope this helps you.

The certificate is having clear description of your caste based on the certificate issued by the authorities concerned.

This cannot be changed at this stage.

No doubt if you do not want to be recognised by this existing caste, there is no restriction on you to prevent you from getting back to your root.
