Dear client,

Yes, you can obtain a copy of your marriage certificate from Bangalore, India even if you are currently in the UK. Here are the steps you can take:

Contact the Marriage Registrar's Office: Contact the Marriage Registrar's Office in Bangalore where your marriage was registered. You can find the contact information on the official website of the Karnataka Government or through a search engine.

Provide necessary information: Provide the necessary information such as the names of the bride and groom, date of marriage, and registration number (if known). If you do not have the registration number, you may need to provide additional information such as the name of the marriage registrar or the location of the marriage.

Submit an application: Submit an application for a certified copy of the marriage certificate. You may be required to pay a fee for the application and the copy of the certificate.

Provide identification: Provide a copy of your identification documents such as your passport or driving license as proof of your identity.

Request for delivery: Request for the delivery of the certificate to your UK address. You may need to pay an additional fee for the delivery service.

It's important to note that the process and requirements for obtaining a copy of your marriage certificate may vary depending on the specific Marriage Registrar's Office where your marriage was registered. You should check with the office for the specific requirements and procedures.

You may execute a special PoA in favour of your close friend or relative in India for the purpose. It needs to be either notarised or attested by the Indian High Commission in the UK. Within three months of its arrival in India, it needs to be adjudicated before being acted upon. Then the power agent could apply for a copy from the marriage officer.

If your marriage was registered before the registrar of marriages, then you can apply for duplicate copy of the extract of the  marriage certificate from the same registrar's office.

be present physically before the concerned officer, you can authorise any close relative by an authorisation letter and can get the desire task completed.
