• Closing date going to be missed due to appraisal

P&S agreement had 2.5 months. Banks appraisal is scheduled after closing date. Seller is trying to renegotiate more deposit to extend closing 15k non refundable was given as deposit on 235k sale. I feel the seller isn’t work in good faith.

If you seek extension of time for making payment seller may try to extract more money from you 

 

you can cancel the deal if you are unable to make payment within stipulated period

What was the document that was sought by the seller to redeem the deposit?
