Hello there. This is regarding the correct naming convention to follow in the Aadhar ,PAN card for linking, DL , property registration documents, voter etc... My name : RAMESH Father Name : HEMANTH KUMAR Family Name : HARIHAR I am struggling to know what should be the correct way to write the names in multiple documents, and to my bad luck I have been misguided by the people so I am writing here to get the correct opinion. All my educational documents is having name : "RAMESH HH" including my DL. My dad got the aadhar done for me during 2012 as : HH RAMESH. ( not to blame him but he thought it should be fine if the initials are before the name ). Later during 2019 I wanted to apply for passport I got misguided that I had to expand the name in the aadhar then only passport can happen, one of the broker near my premises made a mistake of shuffling of my middlename and family name. he made it as : "RAMESH HARIHAR HEMANTHKUMAR", he told me it should be corrected easily later after I return to india after some months it’s a small change I went to out of india and returned back, post that during last year i had to shift my home. Apart from address change I thought I will change my name. I went to agent and asked him to correct the order of my name in my aadhar. He corrected as “RAMESH HEMANTHKUMAR HARIHAR" even the passport has correct order. PAN card has "RAMESH H HARIHAR" Now the problem is, my Aadhar name is so long that at times I feel embarrassed. every time I have to write "RAMESH HEMANTHKUMAR HARIHAR". In all the forms I visited aadhar center they are saying the name change limit is over, Gazette Notification is required to change the name and that will be the last time I can change. My question here is : - First of all is this a good idea to change the name to "RAMESH HH" or "RAMESH H HARIHAR" like the PAN or should i leave as is. - If I change the name will I be able to link my PAN card. I heard there should expanded name for linking. - Recently i have got the plot registered with name of "RAMESH HEMANTHKUMAR HARIHAR" will it be an issue If I change. I am really confused. Help me out.
Listen use one name everywhere, first decide which one you want to use, the issue Gazette in that name and change your earlier names to the new one everywhere.
Note- No name is bad , whether the long onesor short. Every name sounds good , dont feel embarrassed ever , you have a beautiful name. But stick to only one. ONE

If there is issue in continuing the existing name in the AADHAR, why do you want to get into unnecessary trouble.
There is no confusion about your name found in different documents because all the documents have the similar name either in the abbreviated form or in the elaborated form.
As you are not facing any problem with regard to your name you may continue to remain with the same names wherever it is found in the manner that is existing.
If you check to your PAN card there must be written your father's full name.
So to you should not change your name keep it as it is.
