• Being mentally harrassed by a mentally unstable girl

I am an educator. Two years ago I met a female student who was from a poor background. I came to know that she had suffered from depression for past two years and so could not perform well in her exams. She also had suffered from Typhoid. She had not even received any medication for her depression. I felt I could help her so helped in all ways I could.
Later I realized that there was little her parents could do for her. She wanted to be away from them. So I arranged for a hostel for her to stay. I tried to persuade her to study and take some job but she did not have any confidence in herself. She continuously refused to work for her betterment and blamed everyone including me for her situation. I even took her to a psychiatrist who prescribed some medicines which were used for nearly 4 months but without any benefit. She has anger issues and now has started threatening of commiting suicide if I do not abide by her demands.
It is causing me personal harm. What should I do? Should I lodge a police complaint?
I am in Delhi while she is in a village in Haryana.

No need to bow down to pressure tactics

2) file NC with local police station regarding your student threats to commit suicide

3) I presume you did not have any physical relationship with your student

Dear Client,

I don't think making police complaints will solve her and your problems instead you must find an NGO who can take care of her because according to the facts it's clearly stated the girl is not happy at her own house. Further, if the situation becomes bad then you must report to the police otherwise, it would become another hectic tension in your life.

Thanks.

- You should lodge a complaint as information for your safety to  the police and higher officials after mentioning that she is having suicidal attitude and further threatening form committing suicide , and hence if she will do this then you will not responsible for her said acts.

You can give a complaint to the police narrating the entire episode and the suicidal threats that she is posing.

This may protect your interests if at all she is really committing suicide.

You can inform her parents also about it and as fr as possible avoid meeting her even having any type of contacts with her.

If you are nowhere connected to her either by relation or any other emotional or sentimental attachment, you may better avoid her and do not even turn to her side.

You can inform her parents about her suicidal tendency and the threats she poses in that regard.

You can give a complaint to the local police about this persisting threat and keep away from her

You should gradually cut all your ties with her.

That seems to be the most viable way out.
